Are you ready to reopen your business as the country moves out of lockdown? This ‘Safely Reopening Our Economy Webinar’ is an online session, designed to provide you with the information you need.

Blackpool Business Leadership Group and Fylde Coast Responsible Business Network, in association with Blackpool Council, are hosting this invaluable webinar session. It will provide a wealth of information on the safe reopening of our economy, and the support measures being put in place.

Safely Reopening Our Economy Webinar

The Safely Reopening Our Economy Webinar will feature four short sessions. Each will be introduced by Martin Long, Chair of the BBLG. The webinar will include:

  • Steve Fogg, Chair of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust and Chair of the Fylde Coast Responsible Business Network
    Steve will talk on the importance of Economic Development and the how the Fylde Coast RBN is encouraging the collaboration of businesses. Their aim is to drive engagement with schools, give opportunities to those who are unemployed and improve the resilience and mental health of the workforce.
  • A COVID infection and vaccination update by Dr Arif Rajpura, Director of Public Health for Blackpool. Dr Rajpura has led the town’s response to the pandemic. He will be joined by Karen Smith, Blackpool Council’s Director of Adult Services, who will share her knowledge and experience of managing a COVID-safe environment.
  • Peter Legg is Blackpool Council’s Head of Economic and Cultural Services. He will provide an update on the latest round of business support grants aimed at helping local businesses to get through the financial impacts of the pandemic and bounce back stronger than ever.
  • Tim Coglan is Blackpool Council’s Head of Public Protection and Enforcement. Tim will present the support measures that are being put in place to enable businesses to reopen safely. Also how to comply with any remaining rules and restrictions as the roadmap milestones are reached.
