Help with Accounts – How and When you Need It

Unless you’re in the business of bookkeeping or accountancy, it’s likely that at some point throughout your life you will need someone to give you a hand with your business accounts or your personal tax.

You might have a tax return problem (or be facing a tax inspection), you might have run out of time and the capacity to do your own bookkeeping. You might be employed on the Pay as You Earn schedule but have sold an investment property or shares, you could need advice as a contractor…. There are many different scenarios whereby you might require the expertise and skill of a member of the qualified accountancy team here at Jones Harris.

As much or as little help as you need

Here at Jones Harris we can provide a seamless bookkeeping and accountancy service from receipt to tax return and everything else in between.

That can be on an ad-hoc basis whereby we complete a stand-alone piece of work, or on an ongoing basis whereby we compile monthly reports and forecasts, along with year-end accounts and tax returns.

How much support you choose to access is entirely up to you. We also offer a complete bookkeeping service and with cloud based software you can still keep abreast of your bank balances, who you owe money to – and perhaps more importantly who owes money to you.

We can also remove the stress of VAT returns and payroll, all carried out under one roof with named individuals to speak to who are familiar with your business. It’s likely that you haven’t had such detailed information before, and it could make a significant difference to the health of your business.

Don’t forget that ‘Making Tax Digital’ is also being phased in which will require most business owners to use online accounting software within the next 3 years. By various implementation dates you’ll be required to make quarterly, summarised uploads of your accounts data and undertake an annual online check. If this fills you with dread, then it’s another good reason to speak to us here at Jones Harris about how we can help with your bookkeeping obligations.

Not as expensive as you might think

With online cloud based software starting from as little as £10 a month, and our Sole Trader Compliance service from just £35 a month (which includes calculating and submitting your self-assessment tax return) you’ll get the experience and ability of a large firm of accountants from Jones Harris without paying an eye watering price. And you can pay by monthly direct debit too and spread the cost.
