Everyone here at Jones Harris is celebrating after receiving the news that we’ve been shortlisted in not one but TWO categories of the prestigious Red Rose Awards 2017, the annual business awards from Lancashire Business View magazine which celebrates the best of Lancashire’s business, commerce and industry.
Of course we will be doing everything within our power to come home to Fleetwood with an award, but we consider it an achievement to be shortlisted. Hundreds of initial written entries were scrutinised by a team of business leaders and independent experts before being whittled down to just six finalists in each of the 25 categories.
The two categories in which Jones Harris has been selected as finalists are
– ‘Financial Business Award’
Open to accountancy businesses, IFAs, banks, building societies, stock brokers, funding bodies, corporate recovery businesses plus those that provide investment management and corporate advisory services.
Jones Harris is a firm of chartered accountants, business and taxation advisors and as you probably know, we’re based in Fleetwood and operate throughout Lancashire, serving companies of all sizes and sectors. We use leading-edge software and a bespoke client management system to offer a comprehensive service and support clients at every stage of the business lifecycle.
– ‘Customer Service Award’
This award is open to private and public sector organisations which can demonstrate excellence in customer service.
In a challenging market, here at Jones Harris we’ve not merely achieved steady organic growth, but also put in place a forward-looking strategy that will see the business ideally placed to take maximum advantage of forthcoming changes in the industry. We’ve diversified, recruited new staff, and fostered the development of new skills and ICT infrastructure and have a new, well-researched marketing strategy. Critically, throughout everything, we have maintained an unswerving commitment to outstanding customer care.
The team have already gone through the interview and presentation stage across two days of judging, aptly at the Red Rose Suite at Blackburn Rovers.
Fingers crossed that we’re successful (and if we aren’t it won’t be for lack of trying) and come away with at least one award when the winners are revealed in the glittering awards ceremony at Blackpool Winter Gardens on 9 March.
