Jones Harris entered a team in the Hays Accountancy Personnel annual quiz challenge recently held at the Swallow Hotel in Preston.

The team consisted of Partners, Martin Wigley & Peter Neill, our Production Manager (Philip Crankshaw), and one of our Accountants (Marc Cortinas).

There were seven teams in the event - a mixture of accountancy firms, and local businesses.

The quiz consisted of 10 rounds of 10 questions each, covering topics ranging from Sport, History, Science, and Music, amongst others.

The Jones Harris team was severely weakened by the unavailability of both Tony Smith and John Hoggarth. Despite this, the team managed to be runners up on the evening - losing to the winners by only 5 points. The winners were Chenara Plc who have won for the last few years.

Previously Jones Harris have been runners up on several occasions, and on one occasion managed to win the local heat & went through to the Regional final were they were unfortunately beaten.

The event raised £364 for local charities, and this was then matched by Hays Accountancy Personnel - a great result from a fun evening.

Perhaps next year will be our year to be the bride and not the bridesmaid!
