Paperless Office

03-10-2008

With current technology it is certainly possible, but in reality can it happen?

In 2003 Jones Harris embarked on a mission to achieve the paperless office by the appointment of a dedicated IT Manager called Chris Rigbye. This was quite a radical move for a provincial firm of Accountants.

The project has been championed by the Partners, led by senior partner Charles Bryning.

We have invested heavily in IT equipment, software development, and staff training throughout the last five years. Chris has developed bespoke software for the Firm to allow us to provide clients with an even more efficient, prompt and streamlined service.

The development has seen the introduction of dual screen monitors for all staff, and the gradual phasing out of manual files.

Whilst computers (and printers) will never achieve a fully paperless office, they can definitely aid a 'paper-less' office.

In a computerised world, it is essential for an accountant to embrace technological changes, so that they can meet (and exceed)the demands of todays and tomorrow's business owners. At Jones Harris we certainly do that!
